Join us for a poetry reading from local valley artist, Yelisa Ambriz. 

Yelisa, born and raised in Fresno, shares her collection and experiences this Saturday, April 18, at St. Dulce. The event is free for all ages and will be hosted virtual as well. Registration link below. 

Yelisa Ambriz grew up among the grape and almond fields of Fresno, California, as the daughter of immigrant farmworking parents. She earned her B.A. in History from the University of California, Berkeley in 2020 and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at UC Berkeley.

An emerging poet, her work has appeared in various journals and zines, including Panochazine, Flies cockroaches and poets journal. In 2022, she was named a semifinalist for the Andrés Montoya Poetry Chapbook Prize at the University of Notre Dame, an award recognizing promising Latinx poets.

She is currently developing a poetry manuscript she has been cultivating for over nine years.
